Raise STEM results with the ExploreLearning Science Success Grant Program. This grant enables districts to implement instructional methods to increase teachers’ effectiveness with professional development incorporating Gizmos and Science4Us. The grant runs from August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026.

What is included with the grant?

Science Success Grants can serve K-12, secondary-only or elementary-only implementations. If you qualify for the Science Success Grant, you will receive a free 12-month subscription to ExploreLearning Gizmos and/or Science4Us, along with professional development for up to 20-40 teachers in your district. The grant runs from August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026.

You will also receive:

Sustainable, research-based methods to raise science outcomes and results
Flexible, inquiry-based materials and teaching practices to improve science instruction
Engaging, online simulations and tools to prepare students for continued learning and careers in STEM

Overview of Gizmos and Science4Us

Gizmos (Grades 3-12)

Gizmos interactive online simulations help students develop a deep understanding of challenging science and math concepts through inquiry and exploration. Gizmos offer:

Research-based instructional strategies shown to improve student learning
Correlations to NGSS, state curriculum standards, and over 300 textbooks
Content that helps support new computer-based performance assessments

Introduction to Gizmos

Science4Us (Grades K-2)

Prepares students for success in science with 1000’s of online and offline STEM activities designed specifically for K-2 students. Science4Us offers:

Blended, inquiry-based lessons that engage students in everyday science
Instructional activities that explicitly integrate literacy and math skills
Embedded support that helps teachers lead lessons with confidence

Does my school or district qualify?

To achieve a strong, lasting program, the ExploreLearning Science Success Grant is built around creating a cohort of participants who will learn from us and each other continually throughout the year.

The successful grant applicant must be willing to meet the following requirements:

Have at least 3-4 elementary, middle and/or high schools participate
Have at least 2-3 science/STEM-focused teachers at each participating school
Participate in three professional development sessions, and ideally complete the first PD session before October 1, 2025

Overview of included professional development

Introductory workshop: Prepares teachers to use the programs for in-classroom and remote instruction through demonstration, guided instruction, and hands-on practice
Secondary workshop: Develop a deeper understanding of how to integrate the programs into the curriculum, and effective use in a variety of instructional settings
Higher-level workshops: Develop a deeper understanding of how to integrate the programs into the curriculum, and effective uses of whole group and small group instruction
Consultation with our curriculum team to integrate content into your math and science pacing guides
